Quality components, accuracy, power, nice styling, can be tunned and lots of aftermarket options available
Twangy out of the box and some don't like the rounded stock in front of the trigger guard
The R-9 is great for hunting, target and plinking. With a little velocity tar on the mainspring, the gun goes "thunk" not "twang" and recoil/cocking effort is less. Have an inexpensive scope on mine and it has not destroyed it. The Rekord trigger, well-finished beech stock and blued Weihrauch barrel are all world-class and worth the cost. Saving up my $ to get a Deluxe version of the R-9 (checkered grip, interchangeable front sights, etc.)
