With a price range from £370-£425 depending on where you buy, this is not a cheap skate.
I have owned a pair of Bauer Vapor XX for the last hockey season, and other than price I cannot fault them. They have great ankle support, and are very comfortable. The light-speed blade is just amazing to skate in, it is this best blade in the world, and is only equaled by the latest graf blade. Also these skates are very strong, I have been hit by a puck many times in the ankle and yet these skates are still in shape, and my ankle is not broken (yet!).
Some people think these skates just fall apart in a matter of months, I guess if you were a pro and you skated twice a day, every day, this might be true, but if you are a pro then you get your skates free anyway. I skate 5 times a week at public sessions, and play hockey at a competitive level 2 times a week and their still no where near falling apart.
The best thing about these skates, other than comfort, strength, and ankle support, is the weight. These skates are incredably light, the only skate to get anywere near them are the CCM ZG130 (Vector pro's with T-Blades), which have T-blades and are therefor not really suitable for hockey, because the blade holder is so weak.
Overall I give these skates a 10 out of 10, they are the best skates I have ever have.
