General Comments

I smile every time I drive this BMW 3 Series 318 Ci (it's the 1 in the pic) hard ride but makes for unrivalled handling. I test drove the Merc equivalent and the 2 don't compare. Absolutely love this car and would recommend it to everyone. Averaging around 34mpg and that's with a heavy right foot. Twitchy handling at first but once you realise it's because it's razor sharp it's amazing. I also love the electric pop-out windows at the rear, so cool!

3 punctures in 2 weeks back in April (unlucky), and those run flats don't come cheap at 200 quid each. Now, after only having the BMW 3 Series 318 Ci 2002 for 18 months, and even though it has only done 25k in 4 years, I'm a little disappointed that I am having to pay another 270 quid out for cam and crankshaft sensors, which have resulted in the car losing all of its power randomly (even when travelling at 70mph along the motorway). This has caused major problems for me, by having to have the car towed to the garage twice after breaking down. The only advantage is that I have saved on what BMW would have charged me if I'd have had the work done there (1,000 pounds)!
