I got rid of this god awful car. I was one of the first to buy these. I was also one of the first to get rid of it! I bought without a test drive. What a mistake. It drives like a tractor, is now as common as muck (everyone thinks my occupation is a hairdresser), and had constant mechanical problems.
Its a Volkswagon golf with an egg as cover. The only good thing I can say is I hardly lost any money on resale. Good riddance to bad rubbish

on 6th Jan 2005Drives like a tractor and everyone thinks you are a hair dresser?
How can that be possible with a vehicle that has been praised for it's handling and impeccable style...
Plus, you shouldn't be offended as you'll have to be a very successful hairdresser to be driving one of these puppies.
