General Comments

I have tested many co2 guns basically because I couldn't find one that gave me what I was looking for. I have tested a Gamo PT80, Beretta A9000s and a Beretta 92f nickel and now the Walther PPk/s.
First impressions.
Wow I was happy when I got this pistol, it looked great, fitted my grip perfectly, and I just wanted to get round to testing it! It was easy to operate, just add co2, load the mag, cock the slide and pull the trigger Easy! The first shot I let off took me by amazement, the kick on this little gun was tremendous it felt so right, it's like using the real thing and trust me I have used the real thing. 60 shots later and still no problems.
Accuracy
I bought this pistol for a summer plinker but when I tested the accuracy at 15 yards it grouped very well for a smooth bore bb pistol. The open sights wernt brilliant but if compensated for were very consistent. I am waiting arrival for the laser sight so I can aim dead on and take to my local pistol club, because in my opinion the accuracy good enough for fun but not serious target work
Operation.
Through my test this pistol performed excellent, no faults. no jams, no miss fires and no leaks.
Overall impression.
A great pistol I recommend any to anyone wanting good fast accurate fun at a reasonable price, if it's fun you're after this is the best pistol out there I know of. Is more fun than the Beretta 92f, A9000s, PT80 and the first 2 cost twice as much! I'm sure this pistol will last me many shooting sessions and I think it will be the last pistol I buy unless I want another one to do a Lara Croft with two! As long as you don't mind the plastic grips then go for it, you won't be disappointed. Feel free to ask any more questions you have and I will have my laser sight soon so expect a mini review on this topic. Hope I have helped Terry Luck

If you have read my recent review on the Walther PPK you will know I think well of this gun and I still do. As I mentioned in the review I was waiting for a laser sight to arrive, well I got it! As soon as I got it I mounted it onto my Walther and boy did it look great! I was as happy as a kid with his first bike, at that time though I was suffering from a neck injury from too much shooting in trees and cricked my neck, hurt for 1 week, but back to the point, I couldn't shoot my Walther with the new laser, so I just admired the gun and laser combo until I could shoot it.

Well, the day came, I was showing my mate it at the time so I put a new co2 capsule in and loaded the mag and switched on the laser, it was going perfect for about two mags then I noticed that the shots were now rising above and too the left, I thought it was just the recoil knocking the laser off zero, then I checked the laser and too my disbelief the mounting bracket at the top of the laser which fastens the laser to the action had split and fell off - now consider this is a 'metal' laser unit, I wouldn't even call it metal, I looked at the area where it had cracked of and it had been made of 'monkey metal' ( mixtures of metals, the equivalent to chip board being called oak or walnut) not only was I annoyed with this it also left two nice silver dents in my pistols action just under the slide. So, now I have a broken laser and what looks like an abused pistol which I don't like because I love to look after my guns - I think it is the most important part of owning them. All in all I would advise you not to buy the laser - note this was an authentic Umarex laser unit especially built for the Walther PPK, I may have just got a bad batch laser but I say don't take any chances with this, if you must have one go to a reputable gun shop which will accept a refund if it is like mine. I'm just here to help

Hi, I'm thinking of buying this gun, I've read many reviews about it and most of them say that the power is very low - I'm just asking in terms of objects but what can it shoot through?

  3. Terry Luck Rank: Staff Sergeant on 26th Sep 2006

Shoots though beer cans at 15 yards
