Review of Steyr LG 100

Good Points
Adjustability: you can shift the CG simply by arranging the proper weights supplied (drop-in for forearm or butt, clamp-on for barrel), the forearm can be moved fore and aft as well as sideway. The grip can be moved forward, backward and swiveled. The cheek can be moved laterally and swiveled. The butt plate can be adjusted in 3 axes and the rear unit of the stock can be removed with a flip of a switch. And if those are not enough, you can order rear thigh unit, hook butt unit, offset pistol grip, knee support, and front weight rail. It shoot Crosman Premier 10.5 at 855 fps.( over 70 shot per fill at 200 bar). The muzzle shroud deflects the air "backward" to creat "still air" zone before the pellet leaves the muzzle thus makes a somewhat loud puff. The trigger can be adjusted in anyway you like and can be used for dry-firing too. Cocking effort is next to nothing. The conbination of laminated forearm, cheek piece, grip and the aluminum action should proof least sensitive to temperature change. This Steyr LG 100 is perfect for the Burris scope 8-32x44 and it shoots flat from 19 to 29 yards. For courses with most target over 50 yards I recommend ordering the 920 fps. setup for flatter long range shooting.

Bad Points
Even though the cheek piece is adjustable, I prefer to see it wider. The buttplate has those sharp spikes to stick (or hurt) your shoulder!(can be filed off). The futuristic look can be either love or hate at first sight. The bystanders complain about the louder than usual puff.

General Comments
This Steyr LG 100 is the FT version modified by Allen Zasadny which I had been waiting in line for months. The second day out to the field, I shot 35 knockdown target which I saw once before and did 32 off-hand. So far the most accurate PCP out of my other 5 top brands.

Quite accurate review for the ZM -- I just got mine a week ago and love it. Shooting at any distance is affected only by wind -- with no wind even 50 yard groups are very small.

<br>I am using the FX hand pump but ordering a SCBA 4500 psi tank. The FX works fine but is a lot of work for that last 50 strokes or so.
