General Comments
Thomson staff have no geographical knowledge of the Cala D Or area, and we had to read off cards at the welcome meeting at the Rocamarina Hotel. Inaccurate information was given about the room. There is not a minibar there or a kettle provided, but you have to buy tea/coffee at the bar (there's a surprise), so be warned!



Thomson staff were very unhelpful. We booked a catamaran excursion, and there was bad weather on the day. Thomson were unwilling to try and reschedule, and they just said "unless you've got a medical note, you have to go on the trip". A refund wasn't an option. The crew on-board only spoke Spanish or German, and there was no safety or trip information available. The sea that morning was so rough, an elderly lady almost went overboard, but luckily 3 of the passengers came to her rescue.



Getting a sunbed was like the Debenhams sale. At 9am people were charging down to the pool armed with their towels to reserve a sunbed.



As you sit down to eat your evening meal, you are asked to pay on the spot for whatever drinks you want, which is quite inconvenient.



The hotels beach was very hazardous. There were bits of broken glass scattered about, and a piece actually went into the sole of my sandal (lucky I had them on), so be warned. Always wear strong sandals!



Overall, it is a good hotel, it was just a shame about the inexperience of the Thomson staff.
