    Good interest rates.


    Bad Points

    You get the feeling the place is being run by the cast of Grange Hill, and departments don't communicate very well.


    General Comments

    I've banked with Alliance & Leicester for 1 year, and I find their service very adequate when you want to know your balance, but that's where it ends. They are slow at phoning Post Offices for money withdrawals, and I've been let down many times. They are very quick to pass the buck on banking problems, and it is very frustrating on the phones, when explaining things 10 times to 10 different people. The staff lack training, and they always agree with you and are positive, but you'll find that transfers have been missed and payments lost. Generally, a rubbish service. Oh, and the commercial arm of the business is even worse!!
