General Comments
We requested extra leg room as I am 6' 4", and my wife had been been hurt in a fall and could not bend her leg easily. This was easily seen as her face was also covered in cuts an bruises. This was not given, and we were put on row 17 G/H (no recline seats), and on turning round 3/4 of the way home I saw empty seats on row 18 with leg room. I would also like to point out after 12 years in aircraft rescue, how do you hope to get so many people out of a so tightly packed aircraft in the three or four minutes you get. It's hard to even stand up from your seat.
Most people would willingly pay an extra £10 or even £15 to get more room and a safer aircraft.

Having worked for Thomsonfly For * years I would like To clear up a few issues raised in your comments. 1st we do not have any no recline seats on the aircraft in question. 2nd row 18 is not an extra leg room seat at all.
3rd you can pay extra for extra leg room however If your not fit to act as an A.B.P and able to open an emergency exit in which by the sounds of It your wife was not then for the safty of ALL on board, you can't sit there!
Also brand new for summer 2007 on our longhaul aircraft we are increasing our seatpitch in our economy cabin to 33" which is bigger than the likes of B.A and Virgin with updated seatback entertainment that no other uk arline has!
