General Comments
Good Housekeeping" Cookery Book: The Cook's Classic Companion - the best cookery book ever produced, simply fantastic. This is the one book I keep going back to over and over again (I have over 120 cookbooks), and this cannot be compared to.
It has everything from store cupboard ingredients, to dinner parties dishes, from quick and easy snacks to elaborate cuisine. There is something suitable in there for every one and every occasion.
As the book was first published in 1948 - my Mum even has the 1970's version, you can still find recipes in there from that time, but it was updated again in 2004 to meet the needs and tastes of the modern day, as well as still addressing the old classics. From rabbit to monkfish, from bread and butter pudding to creme brulee, everything is in there.
You could take all my other cookbooks away from me, but please leave me this one - just fantastic. I cannot recommend this highly enough!
