Good Points
Of the PC 2 Phone VOIP's, Yahoo Messenger has the clearest and most stable voice that I've tried. With other PC 2 Phone VOIP's there was a noticeable delay in the transmission; mainly because those VOIP's were located in Europe, but even the other VOIP carriers located in the United States. There is echoing and broken transmission of the voice packet etc. This doesn't happen with Yahoo Messenger. Also, the incoming dial-in is clear, and the voicemail system is very easy to use, although it doesn't allow you to save the voicemail to a wav file.
Bad Points
The dialer is not exactly user friendly, getting the phonebook to dial the number is awkward, and the 2 cents a minute in the U.S. is higher than some other PC 2 Phone competitors.
General Comments
Though the dialer and phonebook deficiencies detract from the overall attractiveness of Yahoo Messenger, and the 2 cents a minute domestic calling rate is higher than others PC 2 Phone VOIP's, the voice quality makes up for the price, as the old adage states.
