Good meat of the bat and great sweetspot. Very thick. A tap will send the ball racing to the boundary.
Is very heavy and may not allow maximum speed when running between the wickets, during the footwork, backlift, and shot.
This SS Gutsy is a very good bat- if you can handle it's weight. If you can lug the bat to the pitch of the ball in time to hit it, then it will go racing. Then there's the factor of carrying it for 22 yards as many times as you can. If you aren't going to play with it for a while, just keep on feeling the weight so you keep used to it.
The bat has a very thick rubber grip and can be held very well.
The edges are also very good, and the ball does fly off them. If your opposing team is playing without slips, or a gully, then this is good. If they are, however, then you're in trouble.
If anything, this bat is for the lower order batsmen/bowlers who just slog and throw their bat around.
