Good Points

Quick to pay out, and cheap cover.


Bad Points

Pay with Argos vouchers, or tell you where to buy your PC from (if PC damage relevant).


General Comments

When I joined More Than home insurance, I asked if I was now covered, and I was assured that anything that went wrong for me at home, all I need do is call them. YET, I had a terrible year. My PC came crashing down. A few months later some drain people came to clear a blockage, and all the filth shot in the air in my back garden and all over my garden furniture (we are talking toilet waste), fence and patio etc. Then a few weeks later my fridge freezer packed up, and it took the repair guy a week to come out, so all the food was ruined. It was horrible for me, but I got £900 towards my PC, and I made two small claims for under £200 for the other two things, minus my £100 excess. I went away on holiday and came home to a letter from More Than saying they would not insure me at renewal. I had no idea why at all. I always paid my monthly payments, and I had only made small claims, but having talked with a supervisor, I am told you must not make more than 2 claims in a year, however small, or they will get rid of you!!! Because of this refusal to renew I have found it impossible to get insured this year. I'm terrified when I go out, and I feel my property is at risk now. I can't believe the supervisor told me they are not allowed to tell the customers about this ridiculous rule, nor advise against small claims due to this rule.
