Accuracy, power
Scope slips, barrel rusted after about 5 weeks. May have been due to water or damp??
I brought this Gamo Hunter 440 gun as a starter, This is my first air rifle and I thought that it was hardhitting, accurate and fairly nice to use, even though it is a bit heavy. I got the 22 version with a Simmons 4x32 scope. Every time I come to use the gun, it is innaccurate and therefore I have gone through many pellets and hardly hit anything, which is rather annoying. I would reccomend this gun yet the scope is something to keep an eye on and the barrel may rust. A slight bit of oil or WD40 should clear up most of the problem. When shooting free hand the weight of the gun forces you to bring your elbow into your hip which limits movements but will allow more accurate shooting for targets but not so good for living targets. I found the gun a bargain falling just shy of £200
