Lisa Davies's Review of Kate Mosse Labyrinth

Overall Rating
- Value for money

It was good to have a female hero. Interesting points of historical detail, made me want to visit Carcassonne again.
Bad Points
A complex plot woven between modern and medieval times. It was very difficult to link both time frames. The book only comes together at the end. By that point as a reader I had honestly stopped caring what it was all about. The plot is fanciful, and the writing fails to draw and convince the reader sufficiently to make this historical fantasy come to life.
General Comments
I finished Kate Mosse, Labyrinth because I'd bought it not because I genuinely wanted to follow the story through to the conclusion. Disappointing. It did not correspond to the glowing reviews on the back cover
