General Comments

I initially took out a car insurance policy with Kwik-Fit as they beat my existing insurer by £80, and I get a discount card for tyres and exhausts.

When I was involved in an accident in my BMW 320i 24V coupe, I had put in a claim and was asked to provide two estimates for the claim to go ahead. After two months of not hearing anything, I received a letter saying that Kwik-Fit insurance were going to cancel my claim as they could not find the third party insurance details, even though I forwarded them the details for the third parties insurance. Well, to my relief, I sold my car with the damage and made a tiny profit and purchased an Audi A4 1.6 SE Saloon with a tracker. When I contacted Kwik-Fit to amend my vehicle details, they wanted me to pay a further £200 on top of my original quote, even when the new car was a smaller engine, and a saloon and with a tracker fitted. The reason for the increase was because I had made a claim on an accident which was not my fault, but they did not even process the claim. I have two more months on my policy and will gladly go back to my previous insurers and never use Kwik-Fit again.

    I only tried to amend some minor details on my policy and they want fees, fees and more fees! They are a rip off
