Good Points

Made in USA, 'quality wood', 'lighter', nice shape (well I liked it, it felt like my blank)

Bad Points

The wood colour is.... light, a bit too lightly coloured, and although they rave on about the weight, it really isn't even that much lighter.

General Comments

I got the Element Naturals Jake Rupp deck, as it was on sale for $60 AUD. it was that little bit lighter, and when I went on the net to see what the Featherlight was all about, all I got was that it was a 'different concave to improve strength to the thinner layers'. but how does improving strength by the concave make the deck lighter? Maybe it's the wood they used? Isn't all Canadian Maple the same? The answer is; I dont know. I picked up a Hardcore deck (Aus brand, so you probably haven't heard of it.... they don't have a website either but you can order them online) and it was LIGHTER than the Featherlight. But they didn't go on and on about it. actually, I haven't ever seen an ad by that company, but hmm, the Featherlight's pop was awesome, and it lasted a while, nice shape (though many people don't like the Element shape) and fairly strong. I'd recommend this to you if you're learning, or whatever. I probably wouldn't buy another one, but it still is a brilliant deck. Just not the best, but never the less, brilliant.

I ordered one off Ebay, and it sounds pretty good. Obviously, I don't know what it's like yet, but I'll let you know! Apparently they cut little air chambers between the 7 sheets of maple to make it lighter. But stronger?? I don't see how it's supposed to be stronger. Anyway, I can't wait to try it out!
