General Comments

Without doubt the fastest car I've had, due to it's ridiculously high power to weight ratio. I've got a BMW Compact now and I'd never catch it. Good engine noise, excellent power, good MPG, nice exhaust rasp. Mine was a MPI version, I am told that you should not consider the SPI as it is basically a GTa, though I've never driven the SPI. Good looks and excellent power, cheap parts. Build quality is poor, and as with all metros the back arches will be shot with rust. General feel of the car is 'tinny' though the seats and trim were excellent. Rather like driving a rocket-powered sardine tin.

I bet you had the MPi version (which is group 11). I have the SPi version (which is group 5), its 8bhp less than the MPi version, but I changed that :D. And that only costs me 900 squid a year fully comp and im 19, 0 years no claims, and I just got my license. Thats the mistake some peeps make when they get the Metro GTi. And it is stupid, 8bhp difference and a different injection system, and there is a 6 groups differnce
