General Comments

Just after buying my house I decided to refit the whole house with new doors and windows. After checking out the local competition I decided to opt for a cheap company Mr Glassman, a medium priced one Safestyle UK and a more expensive one St Helens Glass for my quotes.

Safestyle UK had the pleasure of giving me the first quote and from the moment the sales person walked in they started with an aggressive sales pitch. It took best part of an hour to get rid of this rude person who left me with a quote of around £4500 mark.

After obtaining my other two quotes £3250 and £6700 I had decided to go with the cheapest (being Mr Glassman) anything but to see or deal with the Safestyle sales person again. It was just when I went to make to call to Mr Glassman that the aggressive sales person rang. Through-out the call they keep asking way I was not going with their quote and bad mouthing the company I was going with, when not wanting to appear rude I told them it was due to price. When asked what the price was in confusion of trying to get them of the phone I told them £2250 of which they replied we will do it for £2000!

True to their word I had all my doors and windows including a French door put in where a window once was for the grand total of £2000, less than half the price they originally quoted as 'the cheapest price they could possible go to ' .

When the fitting day came the guys were friendly turned up on time and did the job well. They were on a tight schedule and were aware that I had only had one day off so they made sure the job was done on the inside so they could just come the next day and finish off on the outside without my being there.

Overall the windows and doors are great and of good quality. The workmen also did the company proud, the only problem being the sales team as even now after a year I still receive approx 1 call every 2 months 'do I want more windows putting in 'surely they must know that they have already done the whole fitting coupled with the aggressive sales patter I got in the beginning makes the whole sales experience awful so I give that nil points.

My advice is to get them round and then know that what ever price they give you they can do better!

    Clair......if you can beat a company like that down to less than half their original quoted price, your next stop should be an Arab bazaar! Well done, and folks....take note.
