Overseas Call Centres
I have used Abbey National for nearly 20 years; for many products and accounts, but the service I have been receiving in the last 2 years has been disgusting. I have had monies transferred into wrong accounts (not my accounts) or not transferred at all in a couple of cases. What I must say is, that all of the mistakes have happened when I have dealt with their overseas call centres. They cannot seem to get anything right. Now, as of today, they have stopped me using my internet banking and telephone banking, but have refused to give me a reason for either, and when I went into a branch, they even refused to give the reason to a member of their own staff who called to find out what was going on. It is absolutely disgusting that they can be this incompetent without explaining themselves. I am now closing my account as I've had enough.
