Good Points
Ultimately none, although it looked great at first.
Bad Points
I have no booking because they cancelled it after making a series of mistakes with my card information.
General Comments
I booked a trip via lastminute.com. I entered my information correctly, and received confirmation. Two days later, I was informed that my information was not correct. When I checked it, my billing address (in the USA) had been replaced by an address (in Surrey) which I had never seen.
I attempted to correct this on the site, but I could not. I attempted to replace the information and pay for my trip with another card, which the site told me was invalid (it is not, and has before and since worked normally).
I wrote back to the email I had received from Fraud prevention, and was told my information was still incorrect. I have spoken to my bank and there is no difficulty at all with my card, so I cannot imagine why it is impossible for me to make a charge on lastminute.com.
I am a frequent traveller, and I have never encountered problems like this before, and certainly not with such disinclination on the part of the company to solve them. I can only say it has been a terrible experience, and I will certainly never visit the site again.
