Good Points

I plugged in the Philips DTR200 freeview box and it tuned itself in (a bit slow), and it worked straight away.


Bad Points

I shouldn't be so cocky! Day 3 of usage and we have complete nothingness; just the power on green light on the box. No reaction to any remote controller command; not even 'power off'! It seems the controller may have 'piffed' (tried new batteries). Ah well, back to Tesco and terrestrial TV!


General Comments

I plugged in the Philips DTR200 freeview box and it tuned itself (a bit slow). It worked straight away. Good picture, good sound/volume - a bit lacking compared to terrestrial TV. I think a lot of reported problems with this model may be down to poor aerials (indoor ones for Freeview?!) and/or poor reception areas.

If it is a simple component failure, these things happen (only once is acceptable). I will reserve further comment until Tesco/Philips respond and the system is up and running again, hopefully.

If picture and sound etc, is as good as the first 2 days, we will give this unit a guarded good, but a lingering doubt on reliability.
