Good Points

Fuel economy is brilliant, diesel engine very responsive, road-holding good, accelerates at speed


Bad Points

Boot and other doors never shut first time, many aspects of internal design are irritating, drives more like a tank than a sporty Golf, not enjoyable.


General Comments

This is our 3rd VW Golf but extremely disappointing: doors nver shut first time, layout of internal fixtures very poor and not properly thought through. Inadequate glove compartment, braking efficient but has to be done with care to avoid engine juddering. Seems down-graded from our previous similar model and will be exchanged for another make as soon as we can afford.
