Good Points

Detailed account of technical aspects regarding U-boats and U-boat warfare. Decscription of the stress, fears and emotions involved in U-boat warfare are well written.

Bad Points

Probably because it was written in the 60's some the style of English is a bit outdated. Also i would have liked that mr. Werner took a firmer stand against his former Nazi superiors. Like they were only fighting against the 'bolshewiks'- the 'true enemy'. Yeah right, Herbert
