General Comments

I began banking with HSBC for my business needs just over 2 years ago. I chose them as the branch is local and there was a helpful business manager in the branch. In 2 years they have had 3 business managers, all getting increasingly useless and harder to get hold of. They are now not having business managers in the branch. I can not have a direct line to the branch to ask a simple question, I have to go through the Indian call centre, and I can't even get through security, as apparently I don't know my date of birth when I've corrected it with my branch twice. The call centre can't seem to answer any questions, and when you ask to speak to the branch you get asked so many questions, like your name at least twice. They also need to know the exact person at the branch you need to speak to and the exact query. If your answer is not good enough the branch staff won't speak to you. It's also near impossible to get the call staff to understand what you want to ask and who you want to speak to anyway: 'can I speak to Derek' gets met with 'Derk?''No Derek', 'Derk?', and so it continues. If you do get to speak to the branch they are 'too busy to help'. My branch is also changing their opening hours to 10 until 3.
