Good Points

Exellent sound quality
White ones go well with ipod

Bad Points

Ear cups often fall off, and are expensive to replace after 6 months, the wire insulation falls off, the headphones fall apart, and youll have lost all the ear cups

General Comments

I got the white Sony MDR-EX71SLB to replace my ipod headphones, and I must say after experiencing the sound quality, I find it torture to listen to ipod headphones; these are just so superior.
However, after six months, the wire insulation turns mushy and falls off to reveal bare wire. Also, the white headphones generally get very dirty. Some of mine just fell apart (the actual headphone). I said I've had them for a year, but in actual fact I've had two pairs, each lasting six months before I had to replace them. Also on several occasions I've had to buy extra ear cups, because they often get pulled off, when taking them off for example.
Basically, if you don't mind spending 50 pounds per year for the rest of your life on headphones, these would be perfect. However, I'm looking for a different set that wont fall apart. A real shame though, because in the first few months these seemed like the ultimate ipod bud replacing headphones.
