Good Points

I have had my unit for less than two hours. My husband and I are both heavy smokers, and our home has always reeked of stale cigarette smoke. I swear that after running this unit for about 15 minutes, there was no trace of smoke in the air, nor was there any odor... Whatsoever! I also love the jasmine scent cartridge. It permeated our living area, the kitchen and hallway in about ten minutes, yet it is very light and subtle.


Bad Points

The unit is pretty large, and the plug is pretty short, so this could present a problem with where to place it. Ours sits pretty well right on the fireplace hearth for the time being. We'll obviously have to find a better spot when next winter comes around and we want to light a fire!


General Comments

I got my Oreck XL Professional Air Purifier as a reconditioned unit through Heartland America (awesome company), and it was at a huge discount ($153.00 Including Shipping)! Can't beat that deal with a stick! I was ready to pay full price, and after experiencing what it does, I would still pay full price if I had no other choice. I would highly recommend this unit for any of my friends/family, and I can't wait to have people over now -- With no more embarassment about smoking odors.
