Overall Rating
- Value for money

Visual intelligence, an exploration of the workings of the eye, le hand, le brain and the fired imagination. Alan Fletcher, The Art of Looking Sideways a inexhaustible treasure of anecdotes, quotations, images, curious facts and useless information - but then I questioned is it useless? I was stimulated to the point of exhaustion - not since the Lubin experience have I felt like this. The numerous oddities, boffin science, jokes and memories, all concerned with the interplay - but cusping juxtapostion, between the verbal - the visual, bloody clever stuff. 72 chapters, certainly value for money excellent use of type, space, colour and imagery.
