Fore end a little short.
My brother purchased one of these a few months ago at first sight the gun looks impresive, and picking it up the first thing you notice is how light it is, (hence the light hunter I suppose).
Next you notice how nice it feels in the hand and upon firing you realise what a nice piece of kit this gun is. Very quiet, no recoil (of course being a pcp) and accurate. I borrowed it for a week when he went on holiday recently, and can truly say it made me regret buying my Falcon PF18 MP (well almost) its not the raptor version so is single shot only.
I did find loading pellets into the breech a bit fiddly as there wasn't too much room to get your fingers in underneath the scope. However if you were using scopes with a large objective lens and high mounts then this problem would be somewhat alieviated. The bolt slides nicely and cocking is then done by use of a second lever, which is pulled back after a pellet is loaded into the breech this is a good safety feature as you only need to to cock the gun when you are preparing to fire, and seeing as there is no safety catch on this rifle it is probably a necessary requirement.
If you decide you do not wish to take the shot you can de-co*ck the rifle by holding the cocking lever back and gently pulling the trigger (this will return the rifle to a safe state). I would not recommend the use of this gun without a silencer as the difference in sound with one fitted is astonishing (not that it is a noisy gun to begin with) but with a good supressor fitted the report of this gun is a mere pfft.
This gun is idealy suited to hunting, hence the name, very accurate, I had single shot kills out to 50 yards (if you do need a second shot its quite quick to load once you get the hang of it, just takes a while to get used to). One other thing I liked about this gun is its fun to shoot, probably because of its easy handling, but if you just want to have a go at some spinners or targets (with a suitable backstop) its great fun easy to use and fun, a great rifle (I think I'm in love - laugh out loud).
If you know anyone who has one see if they will let you try it, you won't regret it. I used Crosman Accupell with this gun as thats what had been used to zero it, a lovely gun well done Falcon!
