Great cheap way of staying in touch with those who otherwise would be lucky to get a quick call. Also, you can forward your calls to any other number (and pay the cost of the connecting call i.e your relative Skypes you in the UK from Australia, you've got your computer off and the Skype forwarded to your home landline, you pay the small fee for a cost of a call to a UK land line).
Bad Points
You need to make sure that you don't scrimp on the microphone, or if you're buying a dect style phone, make sure you get something that is quality that will last. Alternatively, trial Skype on a cheap microphone but graduate quickly!!
General Comments
Paypal have an offer on to get free call credit to register (which is also available to existing Skype customers). It is worth checking out! (May 2006).
