Good Points

Very good products. They work well for a short period.

Bad Points

Appalling customer service, and they do not not honour warranties.

General Comments

I purchased a Sony Ericsson P910i for £200. It worked well for the first 2 weeks, then the screen failed due to a manufacturing error.

Not a problem, as I hadn't even taken the receipt out of my wallet, so I sent it off to the service center who happily advised me that they were not prepared to repair the screen (though why not is not something they would share with me). In addition, it would cost me £30 to have my phone returned unrepaired.

I promptly wrote to their head office, only to be told the same story. I was very disappointed, and will never purchase a product from this company again.

The moral of the story? Great phone, so if you want one, make sure you get phone insurance.

I purchased a w580i for £100, the screen of which broke the first time i opened it! I returned the phone to Sony E with a covering letter, fully expecting them to repair the fault at no cost.
I received a reply to the effect that there was no fault covered by the manufacturers warranty and my options were to pay £47 to have the screen repaired, send £10 to have the handset returned unrepairable or to send permission for Sony E to dispose of the handset at no charge! ... Which they will do anyway if you do not reply within 28 days. This is the worst example of "customer care" I have ever experienced and I will never purchase a Sony E product again.

sounds like they do this to everyone - my handset nearly caught fire - [it had worked for 14 months fine ] i sent it to their "approved repairer" kuehne & nagel . they stated - 10 working days . after 28 days they sent a letter saying they wouldnt repair under manufacturer warranty , as " it had been opened " & parts were missing .i assurred them it had been supplied new from t mob , and that it had never been out of my possesion . [im not in the habit of taking items to bits ]Sony ericsson phones have 2 yr wty [dont be fobbed off by tmob cust services ] . in the end t mob sent the handset to another repairer , and no parts were missing ! it was the main board which had failed . all this took 6 weeks. tmob were brill , and they sent me a new k800i . I NOW ONLY HAVE nokia / lg phones . my dad had bother with his sony ericsson z750 i last week , handset was 12 months old . [ i gave him my k800i , and told him not to get s/e again. non of my family will buy there stuff again
