General Comments

I have been a loyal Direct Line insurance customer for the past 11 years, and I have not made a claim since 1997. We pay monthly by Direct Debit, and would usually have just let it renew automatically, but talking to a relative who has just renewed their insurance, I thought ours sounded a little high, so I made a note to get alternative quotes when our renewal notice arrived. What a shock!! None of the alternative quotes I obtained came in less than £200 cheaper, and I subsequently got an improved level of cover for £389 a year less than Direct Line wanted! What a way to repay a good claims record and customer loyalty. Needless to say I will be checking future renewal notices very carefully.
