This is a practical car with some "big car features". It is a 1.2 SE with some great extras. Air Con, Keyless entry and ignition, drive computer, sun roof, CD and Alloy. Modern and roomy inside that allows 3 passengers in comfort and 5 at a push for short journeys. Handy extending boot space. Economical and good on motorways, as well as around town. Styling a little risky but modern.
Door and boot locking system a major problem. This has caused problems on three occasions and recently locked me out of the car completly. Although it is a quiet engine, relative to other small cars, please do not buy this car if you do not appreciate rattles and creeks. There are plenty of Nissan extras, but the poor plastic interia is poorly put together. In fact, I think the designer had a bad day. Every part of the inside of this car makes some sort of noise. The dealer is used to it and I get some interesting smiles from the service reception.
Have done 23000 miles in my Nissan Micra in eighteen months with no mechanical problems. Touch wood. My reliability score has been influenced by the number of times it has been with the dealer for internal rattles. This car could be one of those classics, but designer rushed the last bit of the plan. Shame!
