Bad Points

The size of Playa De Muro. There were only one or two restaurants worth visiting, but as I said before, the buses would take you to the other resorts cheaply enough.

I had a baguette in the hotel pool bar one day, and it wasn't the best food I've ever had. It also put us off eating at the hotel restaurant, which was also expensive to eat at.

The transfer from the airport to the hotel, and also to the pirates show took around 2 hours because of drop offs and pick ups, although it is only an hours drive with no drop offs or pick ups.

General Comments

The La Dorada Hotel was fantastic! The view of the pool was great, and the room was brilliant for 2 people. Playa De Muro is a small resort, but the buses run every 15 minutes in the summer season to Can Picafort, Alcudia and Port Pollensa, and for 1 Euro per person each way it was nice and cheap!! Staying in Playa De Muro encourages you to explore the other resorts, which we may not have done.

The evening entertainment in the hotel was great. Staff were friendly and helpful, and they were all fluent in English. The reception was open 24 hours which meant on arrival late at night we were able to purchase a safety deposit box and ask any questions without having to wait until the morning. The travel rep was fantastic, and she was available every day and gave us all the information we needed.

We took part in the excursion down to Magaluf for the pirates adventure, and the trip down was full of laughs. The rep got everyone into the pirate spirit and kept us all entertained, both there and back! This was the highlight of the holiday! It cost around £60 euros, but it was well worth the money. The food, unlimited pirates punch, soft drinks and entertainment were all of the highest quality!

The transfer back to the airport was nice and easy, and reps were on hand in the airport until we were all checked in.

There was entertainment every night in the hotel, and it was great! The bar staff were all friendly, and there was waiter service for all self catering guests constantly in the hotel.

It was a fantastic holiday! Well worth the money. We will be visiting again!
