We have just returned from a week at Tropical Park, and we absolutely LOVED it!
As soon as we checked in (which was at 1 in the morning by the way) we were immediately impressed by the efficiency and friendliness of the reception staff, which couldn't have been easy at that time of the day!
The apartments are lovely, and definitely the best we have stayed in. They are very spacious, and come with everything you need (iron, microwave, and all utensils etc).
They are cleaned 5 out of the 7 days, which we thought was quite good. The maids do a great job, and on the times where we were in the apartment when they were cleaning, they were very friendly and discreet.
What we saw of the entertainment was very good. The man who is in charge of it all asks everyone to get involved, but he doesn't pressure you if you don't want to. He is also quite easy on the eye, which is a bonus ha ha!
There is a jacuzzi which we used a couple of times. It is very clean, and it can be booked, so there is no need to share with any strangers! We also played tennis. They hire you all the equipment for a low cost (can't remember the exact amount).
This is a timeshare complex, so they will try and get you to buy. We were invited down to the bar by a PR guy to complete a questionnaire with him. After filling it in he started to tell us how much it was to buy and then wanted to show us round one of their penthouse apartments. He was only doing his job, so we weren't too bothered by this, and as soon as we told him we weren't interested, he didn't put on any pressure. You get a free drink out of it any way, so it's worth doing the questionnaire!!
Bad Points
We are a couple in our twenties, and the only bad point we found was how quiet the resort is. We were told by several people that this is a particularly dead time of year, so we are going to try and go back maybe next Summer. We will definitely be returning to Tropical Park.
General Comments
Tropical Park in Tenerife is a fantastic apartment complex. Ideal for families and couples. Beckhams is great for food, as are the Chinese eat all you wants (there are 2 of them which are both great). We loved Paddy McGintys and the 3 Horseshoes for karaoke.
