General Comments
I adore my Dyson CR01, it does what every other machine I have had has failed to do, large loads and 1400 spin. The coin trap is invaluable to me. Yet, I have had the engineer out at least 5 times (nice man though) and had to have my original CR01 replaced and there was a fault that could not be fixed. The one I have got now has suffered a cracked inside door (probably from doing a hot wash so the man presumed) and lcd screen was becoming unreadable. Extended guarantee is £99 a year, cheaper to get house insurance really. Each problem would have cost me from £85 to £100 if I did not extend the guarantee and my CR01 has now got a R02 memory, as the engineer said on one of his visits, they have had so many teething problems with the CR01 that they were doing a service and upgrading if someone had a problem with their CR01. If you are going to buy a Rolls Royce you need to have the money to maintain it, as is the case with the Dyson. You get an amazing machine, even though the price tag is in excess of £1000 be aware it will cost you a lot more in the long run.
The repair man has responded within 3-4 days of my phone call which I think is good service. But I have bitten off a fair amount to chew with this little baby. I would have considered and researched a lot more in hindsight before committing to this piece of equipment
