Good Points

Strong suction on tools
Easy to empty bin


Bad Points

'Quick release' tools are very difficult to put back
Airflow tools are next to useless


General Comments

I bought this Dyson 18 months ago really because there was little else available that seemed any better. It doesn't seem to have any real strength of suction when used on carpets and, although it moves the surface bits and dog hair it makes little impression on the pile of the carpet and so the room does not look reassuringly hoovered. The hose is a bit of a pain in that you have to get the whole thing out even if it is to clean one corner and it is then a bit of a pain to get it all back together again. It appears that the premium price is for image rather than substance

    ring dyson, the internal hose and brush housing are not moving properly.

    Sounds like you work for Hoover.....they are the ones with the "name" without the performance to match.

    In fairness to Dyson, I think that most modern vacuum cleaners are a bit duff compared to those of 15-20 years ago!!
