Good Points

best looking standard corsa, great engines, great reliability, reasonably fast. mine is chipped and has power valve about 115bhp 0-60 in about 8.5 secs top speed easily 125mph. Eats VTR Saxos for breakfast I know because I've had 2 of those as well.Go for GSI Corsa that's my advice. And if you find a good one and keep hold of it then it will be worth a few quid in near future they are very rare now in that condition.

Bad Points

Can be thirsty if you put your foot down, group 12 insurance, hard to find a decent one that hasn't been neglected. Try to spend as much as you can afford, one with a service history and good mileage, it's worth the extra. I've had 2, my first was a L reg only paid £950 for it was ok for a bit but then had all sorts of probs with it also had 130,000 miles on it. My new one is a M reg it cost me £1400 but has full service history only 80,000 miles and 2 owners. It is also totally original apart from lowered so you can see the difference in what you get for your money.

General Comments

The Vauxhall Corsa GSi is a brilliant little car, all round far better and faster than the 1.6 Ecotec sport model which hasn't even got a body kit as standard. I think you would have to be mad to consider the Corsa Sport over the GSI. Thanks for reading this review and hope it has helped you.

I've got a GSI myself and lowered. Had a slight mishap today and went over a bump causing my exhaust 2 come out of it's clamp in the centre therefore my exhaust has slipped out of the connection to the cat. I've managed to put the exhaust back and quickly dashed to Halfords with the mangled clamp to get a replacement, tried to measure it as well as i could with the clamo I'd got but unfortunately came home 2 discover it does not fit! Anyone know what size exhaust clamp I need?
    Thanks
    Laura x
