Morphy Richards 73172 ORB Bagless Cylinder Cleaner Review

I wanted to get a bagless vacuum cleaner to avoid the problem caused by our last cleaner which emitted a bad smell which we could not seem to clear in spite of changing bags, filters etc. The 73172 ORB seemed just the job. However the quality of the cleaner in operation leaves a lot to be desired.

The hose is made of stiff a corrugated plastic and is not reinforced with wire as with other cleaners. The hose is fixed to the end of the cleaner and does not have the 360-degree connection that is common on many similar cleaners. When using the cleaner the hose gets twisted up on itself and cuts off the suction. It is necessary to untangle the hose frequently.

The carrying handle sits on the floor when the cleaner is stored which makes the handle useless. It is difficult to find a place to lift the cleaner from the stored position.
As for suction I found the cleaner has performed adequately so far. I have not had to empty the container yet so I cannot comment on this.

I have only had this Morphy Richards Bagless Cylinder Cleaner for a few days and find it a very disappointing product. I would urge people who are considering this 73172 ORB to think again. You will be disappointed
