Good Points

Very friendly and keen to help, before initially undisclosed fee was taken


Bad Points

After fee taken:
Rude
Underhand
Incompetent
Have no concept of time or customer service
Hit you with fees and compulsory insurance charges at the last minute, when they know you are in danger of losing the vehicle if you do not proceed


General Comments

NetCars - Told that finance agreed, explained in great detail the nature of my work (Long term contract), assured that this was not an issue as I earn a substantial amount of money. Agreed amount £3500 over the top of what I required.
Picked a car, left a deposit and notified netcars to sort out the funds, charged a fee and promised documents next day.
Two days later - no documents, called netcars to be told they hadn't been sent.
Received documents the day after, to discover that all sorts of additional fees and insurances had been added, despite my strict instructions to disclose all fees on the phone.
Was about to lose the car if I started finance process with another company. Told netcars to proceed against my better judgement, ensured that the finance was 100% watertight and that there was no room for decline. Told that the funds would be with the dealership within 72 hours.
Despite numerous calls, my details had not been sent to the finance company apparently due to the dealership not giving them the bank details. After speaking to the dealership, he had sent the details three times already over the period of three days.
Even when I had sat on the phone and confirmed the details had been received with netcars receptionist, it was denied by the person dealing with the application. I finally get a call back this morning telling me that the application had been declined due to me being a contractor. This three weeks on in the application. The salesman then tells me he asked me whether I worked via an agency and that I had denied it. Quite why I would want to lie I don't know, submitting payslips with the employers name all over them. I am now likely to lose a car that it has taken me three months to find, not to mention the deposit and my documents that netcars have. I will never use a broker again, and if my life depended on it - never netcars, I hope someone shuts down this company.
