General Comments
The Shure E2c have dramatically improved the quality of the portable devices that I use them with (PSP, iPod G4, iPod Nano, Laptop) and cannot recommend them highly enough for that.
I also used them a for some flights recently and they dramatically reduced the sound of the engines and general flight noise, but other passengers and flight attendants might think you are being rude as you will not hear them at all.
The only real downsides once you have chosen an in ear model of phone is that the thickness of the cable (which should make them robust) also means that it keeps the position that they were in quite a lot. This is not normally a problem, but it has caused the left ear not to fit properly when I have been listening only to the right ear for the whole day with the left one just hanging.
Oh yeah - if you can afford these but no higher up the range don't listen to the others as it's difficult not to end up buying the 4s or 5s.

OK, update...
The clunky cables I thought would make it robust have not - I have got through 2 pairs already, but I am still happy as both have been free warranty replacements.
Just thought I would share.
