D-Day is full of good details that are not only interesting but essential for a complete understanding. Ambrose spent time not only on American beaches but on the British/Canadian ones too.
Some of the details became tedious.
There were lot of personal accounts and quotes such as at the end of D-Day Ambrose closed with an Eisenhower quote.
