General Comments

The Numark TTX1 turntables are fun and have a lot of new features that you won't find in the Technics line. However because they use digital pitch control instead of analog (like the technics) it is impossible to fine tune the pitch slider for beat matching. For example - on the Technics you can move the pitch less than a centimeter in either direction and get a responsive change in speed. With digital pitch this does not work, if you move the slider in small increments you get no response. You have to make much larger jumps and are eventually forced to use your hands on the platter in addition to the pitch slider if you want to fine tune the speed. This makes it pretty much impossible to be precisely accurate with the pitch slider, and in my opinion is a serious flaw.
