Good Points

We stayed at the Atlantic for two weeks April 2006, the rooms were clean and tidy and the view we had over the garden was a delight as the birds would come and sit on the balcony to be fed, the beach was fine and the pool just big enough to cope.


Bad Points

If there is any bad point then it would have to be the price of water, beer and snacks as the cost was much the same as home, £7 for one pint of beer and one burger and a small amount of chips, water could be purchased just outside the hotel for 25 dalasis where as the hotel charged 80 dalasis, the exchange rate was 46 to the pound, safe deposit box was not cheap at 700 dalasis for the two weeks, also the fridge in the bedroom was only opened if one used the mini bar, don't be put off by the juice boys on the beach as a bottle of beer was aprox 40 dalasis compaired to 80 in the hotel, soft drinks were cheaper as well.
Bumsters outside the hotel took a lot of getting used too, and they could be quite intimidating for some people, a guide was available from the hotel and they would keep them at bay.


General Comments

Banjul, Atlantic Hotel - Having met several other guests returning many times then that is a recommendation in itself.
