Good Points

Nice minimalist look on the outside, and no buttons on the front of the set, but that's about it!


Bad Points

Huge remote control. At first I thought it was a weapon
Annoying, as it keeps crashing all the time


General Comments

My Bush 6693D is an absolutely awful TV! I've had 3 so far, and all of them have developed the same problem.

The built in freeview keeps crashing when changing channels, and more often than not it crashes on the ITV and Channel 4 channels. I don't believe this is directly due to these channels, most likely the digital text service these channels offer is causing the TV to crash when loading in the background as soon as the channel is turned over, and it's probably due to overloading.

The fist time it happened I let it slip thinking the TV is new let it settle in, but then it kept on crashing, at least 10 times in about an 8 hour period I would say. It doesn't always crash this much, sometimes it is less, but either way it's very annoying.

The best way to deal with it when it crashes is just to leave it without touching any buttons on the remote, and after 5 minutes or so it will sort itself out. This is totally not acceptable, so I told the top branded store that I bought it from to replace it with a new set. Hours, not weeks later, the same thing happened again. Eventually they replaced the set again, but TWO Days later the same happened. I'm now waiting for them to get their act together and refund my cash so I can buy another set.

I suspect it's a software problem. I've tried to upgrade using the receiver upgrader, but it says no upgrade available.
