Can pause live TV.
Can record without the use of a DVD/Video recorder.
Problems with the boxes. We are already on our third, and we only got Sky+ in January!
Sky+ is a great idea, but it does not seem to have all it's teething problems sorted out as yet.
We opted for Sky+, though we had to pay for the box and an extra £10 per month, even though we were already Sky customers (I think we should have had some kind of loyalty discount). The reason why we opted for Sky+ was because my husband works funny hours, and so he tended to miss the programmes that he wanted to watch, because our Video recorder had gone on the blink, and of course you cannot record 2 programme's that are on at the same time like you can with Sky+.
However, we have had problems with Sky+ freezing, and we have missed the end of programmes because of this. Last weekend though, Sky+ crashed altogether, and we lost the entire first series of Lost, which we had been recorded, and we had only managed to watch 3 episodes. How annoying is that?
A Sky engineer has been out, and we have been given our third box, so we will see what happens this time!
