Good Points

Apartment room was cleaned everyday.
Car hire from private company based in lobby.

General Comments

Our first floor, main roadside apartment was at times unbearably noisy from cars honking horns unnecessarily, ambulances with annoying sirens and thumping music from the disco directly underneath us until the early hours of the morning. Not exactly a relaxing atmosphere.
The restaurant food was absolutely disgusting; we only had the experience once as we were self-catering thank god! But rarely have I endured such revolting food, even the orange juice was acrid to the point of being undrinkable. Not to supply too much detail, but later that day we both spent more time than usual in the lavatory!
Receptionists were rude and the Thompson reps were beyond useless. The bar staff expected tips for every drink you bought and upon returning for another drink they were less their smile and manners as you did not tip them before! Funny behaviour!
Our so called discounted supermarket within the hotel complex, was the nail in the coffin for being ripped off. The Spar supermarket next door was cheaper, by sometimes considerable margins!
Altogether I would never use this hotel again. For a published 3 star hotel I would give it 1 star at a push.
