General Comments

Madame Tussauds (London) is one of the massive chains of Tussauds wax museums across the world. It can be found directly by Baker Street (London Underground station). It is easily visible, and the green 'Planetarium' dome is what you should look for! Entrance for Adults (including all the attractions) is £23.99, and children (also everything) are £19.99. Tussauds Pass owners get in for free. Madame Tussauds is always changing the exhibits, but I will review what I viewed when I visited. You are guided into an elevator which takes you up into 'Blush', a celebrity filled zone. You step onto flashing cameras - this is to make YOU a celebrity! You step into 'Blush' and you are greeted by Tara Palmer-Tomkinson spraying water at you! Also in the room is Kylie Minogue, George Clooney and many other famous celebrities.

You then move on to the changing exhibit. Still there today is the 'I Believe In A Thing Called Rock' exhibit. This lets you pick up a guitar, and basically, you rock with Justin Hawkins from the band The Darkness.

Then you move onto the 'Premier Night' zone. My favourite zone, because I liked posing with Pierce Brosnan pretending to be James Bond! Such stars in this zone are Steven Spielberg, Michael Jackson (a much older version) and 'The Terminator'! The zone is filled with many movie stars and a few famous music faces. Most so far are realistic at Madame Tussauds.

Then, you move on to the 'World Stage' zone. You won't find anyone not famous in here! Current and former world leaders, sports stars, and more pop stars fill the room. Also, the Royal Family stand as one on a stage. Also in the room is another changing exhibit; it is now a makeshift Big Brother diary room.

Moving downstairs is 'Chamber Live'. DO NOT go in here if you are frightened of things jumping out in the dark! This is very scary for me, and my 10 year old was very scared too! It is people dressed up in shabby clothes jumping out and scaring you. Sounds OK, but it is scary, and you will be happy to get out!

Then, you will see the 'Spirit of London' ride. This is NOT scary (lots of my family asked me), and it is a delightful ride through London's history. You ride in London taxi/cabs, and it is a complete History of London from the Elizabethan times to today.

You then go past another changing exhibit, which is currently a Jos Mourinho 'football game'. Now, it looks like you are finished.

A lot of people do not notice that the 'Auditorium' comes WITH your ticket (times depending - schools etc). It is a spectacular trip into space and beyond. You must not miss it!

Then, you are done, and exit on to the famous London Street (not before a walk through the Madame Tussauds shop).

Madame Tussauds is a good few hours out of the bustling street, but take plenty of drinks because it does get hot and stuffy. There is a Costa Coffee shop just before the Chamber Live exhibit. Kids will enjoy Madame Tussauds, but adults may get bored after a while. I hope you can visit.

Nice review which brings me up to date with changes which have occurred in recent years. But, like many U.K. 'tourist traps' I consider it to be far too expensive for a normal working class family. Particularly bearing in mind that there are several fabulous free London museums and a car full of visitors can attend the national Rolls Royce / Bentley show for £35.00 as non-R.-R. members! Five visitors = £7.00 each and it is a leading U.K. event! (P.S. All the vehicles are real).
