Supposed 'broadband speed' is no faster than dial-up
General Comments
When I ordered the Vodafone Mobile Connect 3G/GPRS card, Vodafone seemed very keen not to disclose their tariffs. They weren't mentioned in their terms and conditions or instruction booklet, and I had to phone them to ask. I was told it was £2 per Mb (about 50 emails). I was not convinced by this, so I decided only to use it a bit for the first month. I used the card for a total of 3hrs 46minutes and received a bill for £176, with a bill for a further £29 on the way. Aside from this extortionate pricing, the connection speed is slow. I can't help feeling I've been had, and I am to understand from the unhelpful support staff, there's nothing I can do about it.
