This game has a more or less life-like plot and system that most other life simulators such as the earlier sims do not have. It also comes able to get a car and gives you the advantage to go around downtown which is cool so, in reality, you would learn and slightly anticipate the real thing if you have not yet experienced it.
The prices of the furniture you purchase are completely screwed up, the Plasma TV on a stand, in real life would be 2,500 US$, but while in the game it is 3,500 US$ so basically you screw up your price perspectives. Another bad point is being able to just buy the thing. E.G the car, you dont need a license or anything, you just buy it and there you go. The worst thing is the promotions, all you have to do is get friends and skills, in real life you have to work for years and plase the boss and THEN get 1 promotion, in reality you dont know how to please him so it takes forever of trying until you do. Another is its to easy to fall in love and marry.
The Sims 2: Nightlife is actually pretty good despite the faults of price and responsiblity of requirements towards purchasing items. The life simulator shows the activity of your later life. It shows that you can model and create a house that you might actually design one day if you are succesful and like it. This game is a past-time because you can work at a family countless times and change and change it to your desire. Eventually the one family gets a bit boring when you are at the top of the career and have the biggest house and your kids have their own lives and you do it all before you grow old. NOW THAT'S A CHALLENGE. I play this game all the time every other week and use it to design a cool place and family and sometimes fantasise about some people E.G Tyra Banks or Brad Pitt could be your spouse - HOW COOL WOULD THAT BE!! overall this game is good but it could be better but that always happens with the new expansion packs. But until those Nightlife is as good as partying gets on the CPU. PARTAY ON!!!
